Our 1st Christmas

Our first Christmas has came and gone way too fast. It was incredible! We partied at the Roginas, hosted appetizers at the annual progressive dinner, walked the streets of Thoroughbred, and sat on Santa's lap. We even received a letter from Santa that came all the way from the North Pole! We opened tons and tons of gifts and visited with our wonderful family! We made tons of memories that will last forever. Here are a few pictures of the festivities!

Trip to see Santa

We took the boys to see Santa this week. Gavin loved it as you can see in the picture. We was laughing and smiling the while time. I think Lincoln would have loved it too if he hadn't slept through the whole thing. Ying and Yang, gotta love it!

This is what happens when you let Daddy dress me!

I came home from shopping on black friday to find my son dressed like this. "What in the world is he wearing Dusty? That shirt is so small it won't button! And socks...socks with shorts...ARE YOU KIDDING!" No this was not a joke. Dusty thought he did a surperb job. Well, at least the colors match.

Missing You

Today is one year since Ryan, my brother in law passed away. I can't believe it's been a year already. Life goes by too fast. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him. I wish he were here to see my kids grow up and be that WILD Uncle he will remembered as. Most of all I wish he were here to be Dusty's brother. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose your brother. I know Dusty is hurt, mad, and misses his brother tremendously, but he never asks for sympathy. He never shows his disappointment. He is STRONG. He is the strongest person I know and I admire him for that. Although I wish Ryan were here with us to drink Captain Morgan, play domino's, and make us laugh. I know he's in a better place. I imagine him running wild in the streets of heaven. Hallin' butt in his Pontiac, singing Karaoke, and giving God a run for his money! We love you Ryan!

There's only one October

October has been a great month! We've been having so much fun. The boys celebrated their 6 month birthday. They are sleeping in their own room now. It is amazing to watch them grow and try new things everyday. Gavin is rolling over. He's all about his tongue, it's rare to find it inside his mouth. Lincoln is loving his toys. He grabs on to them and shakes the rattles.

Just being boys

Gavin and Lincoln were invited to a Halloween party at their cousin Macy and Evans house. It was fun to dress up and see all the other kids! Tonight we're off to the pumpkin patch!

CHOC Walk 2008

We participated in the CHOC walk this morning to help raise money for the wonderful hospital who did so much for our boys. It was a great day! We walked 5K through the happiest place on earth...Disneyland. We ran into Lincoln's friend Jordan, who was in the crib next to him during his stay in the NICU. The characters were on the sidelines dancing and cheering us on. We're looking forward to doing this every year!

So the boys had a great review at the doctors this week. Lincoln is now 8 lbs. 12.5 oz. The doctor ordered me to get rid his Apnea monitor. Hooray! No more annoying alarms in the middle of the night that cause me to jump put of my skin. But wait, now I won't be able to sleep at all! Ya, I'll definately be holding on to that for a little while longer. Doctors don't always know best.

Gavin is now 15 lbs. OMG... I can't believe how big he is. He is doing awesome seeing he is in the 50% percentile for his real age! For a preemie, this is amazing. All that eating is paying off! The boys are cute as can be. Lincoln started smiling at me. It so precious. Gavin is sitting up in the bebe pod on his own. Wow, time flies when your having fun!

Dude!

My sister Melissa and I got together to hang out while the husbands were working. When my nephew Evan arrived, he asked, "Where's the Dudes?" Assuming he's talking about the boys, I replied, "Shh...they're sleeping. Do you want to go see?" He walked into my room where the boys were asleep, ran right up to Lincoln and said, "OH... Little Dude!" He ran over to Gavin next and said, "Big Dude!" It was SO CUTE! He has nicknamed them Little Dude and Big Dude and refers to them as that ever since. I love how he creates nicknames for everyone!

Splish splash I was takin' a bath...

The boys love to take a bath! I love to give them a bath! It wears them out and puts them right to sleep.

Miracles...believe in them

Gavin and Lincoln are now 4 months and 3 weeks old. They are doing so well. Gavin weighs 12 lbs. and little Link is up to a whopping 6 lbs! He is working on packing on the weight. He eats, sleeps, and wants to be held all day! Gavin loves to play under his baby einstein gym mat. He smiles all the time. I've never seen a happier baby! I thank God everyday for the gift of motherhood. It is the best gift in life! Ok, the next best thing after Dusty because it wouldn't be the same without him.

It's amazing to see how far they have come.

Gavin
