Better than Ever

We had a great Christmas this year! It was filled with family, friends, food and fun! All my favorite things. Here are a few pictures of the good times.

The Mission Inn

We went with Dusty's parents to the Mission Inn this week. Its a great place to eat dinner and take a walk. The mission is decorated with lights and Christmas characters and surrounded by horse drawn carriages. It's beautiful!

Breakfast with Santa

My parents invited our family and many of our friends over for breakfast this weekend. It was very special. They had a long kid-height table set up for all the children.

They made pancakes, fruit, and special cupcakes for all 13 kids.

During breakfast a special guest arrived. Yup, thats right Jolly ol' Saint Nick! The kids were all timid at first. Lincoln was the first to warm up to Santa.

Santa Claus took his time talking to all the kids and passing out candy canes. It was a wonderful day. We look forward to making this a tradition in the years to come!

'Tis the Season

f

Getting into the Christmas spirit, I decided to let the kids decorate a ginger a bread house today. We put on our favorite Christmas tunes and got to work. First they iced the house, decorated it with gum drops and pin wheels, then undecorated it by taking off the candies and eating them. They had a great time and made a huge mess. We are looking forward to a great weekend filled with Christmas parties, Santa, Family, and great friends!

Did I mention Lincoln is crawling?

Yup, he is! On all fours. No scooting. Just hands and knees. We are SO SO SO proud of him! Go Lincoln!

When Disaster Strikes

Wednesday before Thanksgiving we woke up at 4am to the sound of dripping water. We got up to find water leaking from the ceiling in the kids bathroom upstairs. We decided to check the rest of the house to be sure there were no more leaks. Unfortunately we found more. And then we found more. After calling a plumber to come out and figure out what was going on. We learned that we have a rodent stuck in our attic. As you would guess, he wasn't to happy with us. He chewed through at lest 8 water pipes (which thanks to Pulte...are made of plastic...ahhh!) We have water damage throughout our house. Mostly in our dining room and kitchen. Currently, we have over 10 fans drying out the moisture. It's interesting to live in a house with no running water, a web of electrical cords, and nails sticking out of the walls with two 18 month olds. Thanks to family and friends who have had us over to stay at their house and feed us! It makes it all worth it! Hopefully this week we can start to repair the damage. Looking on the bright side...I think I am going to get new carpet out of the deal. Score!!
The original hole...
turned from this, to THIS...

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween! The Roginas came over to trick or treat with us. We went to a few houses and then passed out candy to the neighbors. We hope everyone else had a great night too!

Busy Weekend...

...but tons of fun!

This weekend, Lincoln moved into a BIG carseat!

We went to the Rogina's annual pumpkin party. We had a great time! The kids, I mean, Dads, carved pumpkins. Gavin and Lincoln had fun playing with their friends!

Later that day, Dusty and I went to our friends Chris' 30th birthday

party, without the kids. It was fun cathcing up with old friends!

CHOC Walk 09

I want to thank our family (Mom, Dad, Melissa, Eric, Evan, Macy, Lesley, and Nick) for joining us in the CHOC Walk. My sister Lesley started a team in honor of Gavin and Lincoln and the whole family joined in to help raise money for the hospital who took such great care of our little twins! We love you all and are SO thankful for all your support and love.

The Walk was a BLAST! The kids loved dancing to the music and looking at all the characters!

We were all exhausted by the end...

Celebrating SIX Years

THE DAY I MARRIED MY BEST FRIEND

Dusty and I celebrated our six year anniversary this weekend in Las Vegas. He planned a wonderful trip for us with a many surprises. Usually Dusty is known for his frugleness but this weekend he out did himself. We stayed in a large suite at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. Our room was amazing. It had two bedrooms, 3 plasma tv's, one of which was viewable from the jacuzzi bathtub, and a beutiful view of the strip. He took me to see The Lion King Musical which I loved! We ate delicious food, spent our days at the pool sunbathing in 85 degree weather (perfect!), gambled a little, and danced our hearts out. My kind of weekend! I always knew I had a wonderful husband but this topped it off. Happy Anniversary Dusty and thanks for a perfect weekend!!! I love you!

Visitors from the West

My Aunt Patty and cousin Katie came by our house to visit last week. It was very fun to see them as they live down at the beach (lucky guys!) and don't get to very often. Gavin and Lincoln soaked in all the extra attention. They read books and showed off their newest tricks.

My Gym

Gavin and I started a class at My Gym! Once a week, I take Gavin for some one on one time and let him get "just a portion" of his energy out. He LOVES to climb and this is just the place for that. There is a little bit of structure at the begining and then they let the kids run loose. There is so much for Gavin to do; he loves climbing, sliding, and any other challenge.
