Merry Christmas

created by: announcementsbylaci.blogspot.com

Christmas 2010

Our Christmas began on Christmas Eve at my parents house. The kids played outside with their cousins for a while and were happy to be outside after a long rainy week.

My family is rapidly growing with 7 kids now, they need their own dinner table. We fed the kids first and then had a nice relaxing adult dinner afterward.

Then the gift giving began....

The next morning we woke up and came down stairs to see what Santa had left us.

He filled our stockings and left a Lightning McQueen cars, slippers, and a road mat for the kids. They were in heaven! After coffee and breakfast, we headed into the living room to unwrap more gifts.

Gavin and Lincoln loved unwrapping their presents. It was the first year they were really into it. They were easily pleased with jets, animals, GeoTracks, Light Sabers, and Buzz Light Year guns. We had to venture outside for some playtime on such a beautiful day.

After naps, cleaning, and some more cooking, we went to Dusty's parents house for dinner and what do you know....more gifts!

We are thankful for our many blessings this year. Life couldn't be better than this!

Dear Santa

Dear Santa,

I would like a red Lightning McQueen car and a Chic car for Christmas this year. It was fun to have breakfast with you. I was a little afraid to sit on your lap at first but after you gave me that lollipop I was much happier. Thank you!

Love,
Gavin

Dear Santa,

I would like a new box of markers and a coloring book for Christmas this year. I was so happy to see you this year. I like feeling your fluffy beard and giving you high-fives. Thank you!

Love,
Lincoln

Gone Fishing

We bought the kids fishing poles a couple of moths ago when we walked by them at the store. The boys love carrying them around the house. They tried very hard to catch a fish in the toilet and our fountain in the front yard. Needless to say, we'd had enough...so we packed up some gear and took them fishing for real. Well, almost for real. We went to the trout ponds in Mt. Baldy which has man made ponds stocked with trout. It's great for the little ones. The kids loved being outdoors, touching the fish, and bringing them home with us. We all had a wonderful day! Later that evening Dusty baked the fish for dinner...that part, was not so cool!

A Perfect Gentleman

Gavin started picking me flowers about a month ago. I'm not sure where he got the idea from, because it definitely wasn't from his Daddy however, I love it! Everyday we walk to and from our front porch the little gentleman searches for two special and distinct flowers. He always picks one yellow and one pink, just like these.
He hands them to me with a great big smile and in the sweetest voice says "for you mommy." Man, I love that guy!

Halloween 2010

2010 brought us a great Halloween. We spent the evening with many friends. We ate lots of yummy food before visiting of neighbors for some sweet treats. Gavin and Lincoln really understood the 'trick or treat' routine for the first time this year. They had a blast walking the neighborhood, knocking on doors, and receiving candy. Here are some pics of our night (in reverse).
