Boating in Mission Bay

Gavin and Lincoln had their first boating adventure yesterday. My parents launched their boat down in Mission Bay. Terri, Joe and Kelli Miller came along too! The weather was beautiful. I was so ready for some cooler temps. Neither of the boys were fond of the life vests at first but got use to them after a couple hours. We stopped for a picnic lunch on the beach, flagged down the ice cream truck, and cruised around the bay. It is so great that my parents have a beautiful boat we can enjoy. Thanks for a great day Grammy and Poppy! Looking forward to many more boating trips together!

Friends Forever

I feel very lucky to have so many wonderful friends! Last Friday I was visited by one of my very best friends! For those of you who know her I'm sure would agree. She is one of the most wonderful, caring, down to earth, and beautiful people I know. Nicole, came out to visit me and my ever so busy twins. We had an amazing day. We sat and talked for hours just catching up. Then we ventured out for a pedicure; yes the twins came too! We each held one on our laps while we allowed our feet to be pampered. I was a little nervous to see how the boys would hold up but they were great. Thank you Nicole for such a fun day! Can't wait to do it again soon!

Lincoln's New Tricks

Hi guys, it's me Lincoln! I hopped on the computer while Mommy wasn't looking. I want to tell you about all my new tricks I've been working on.

I can sit

I can stand

I can get on my hands and knees

I love to play with my brother

And my most favorite thing to do, is look at myself in the mirror.

Mommys calling me, I better go before she catches me drooling on the keyboard! Bye for now!

Look Who's Walking

Gavin took his first steps about 3 weeks ago. Now he has perfected it, and is walking about 90% of the time. He looks like a drunk sailor! Its adorable!

Did I mention he drools a lot?

Beating the Heat

This weekend was so hot! Thankfully we had a weekend of fun, water play, and friends! We were invited to swim over at our friends Derick and Monique's place. Their apartment complex has a great kiddie pool (about 1.5 feet deep) which is great for the kids! The kids played in the middle while the adults circled the outside, lounging in the water to keep cool.

Afterward, Derrick, Monique and the Rogina's all came over to our house for dinner. Since it hadn't cooled off much, we decided to blow up Gavin and Lincoln's "Water Park." A great birthday gift they received from the Millers. All the kids loved the water slide. Especially the Dads!

Gavin and fun playing with Jace and Quinn. He loved giving them hugs!

We finished the day off with a delicious batch of homemade brownies, made by Mackenzi and Lincoln. OH, WHAT A DAY!

Swim Lessons

We finished two weeks of swim lessons, and no, Gavin and Lincoln, are not doing the backstroke yet. They did learn to float, kick, get dunked, and jump in the pool. By the second week the boys were starting to loosen up. I think it was the cold water they didn't like. They would much rather swim in Grammy and Poppy's warm pool!
