Swim Lessons

We signed up for Parent & Me swim lessons this summer at Etiwanda High School. They offer a class at 6pm which is wonderful because Dusty and I can go together and take both the kids at the same time. We are lucky enough to have some friends (Evertte & Macy) join us. Last night, was the first class, and it was so fun! The water was a little COLD (as you can see from the pictures). Garvin's lips were purple by the time we were done. We blew bubbles in the water, floated on back and tummy, dunked the kids under water, and even tried to get the kids to jump from the side. Lincoln was a dare devil and smiled the entire time. Gavin, being a little more cautious was more interested in people watching. Next Wednesday is photo night, so we'll see if we can get some better action shots! For now...

The Big One

We had a small party for Gavin and Lincoln's first birthday. It was a blast! We hired a balloon twister to make animals for the kids and funny hats for the adults. We also rented a Nemo jumper to entertain the kids. I think the parents loved it more. Gavin and Lincoln loved every second of it! We are so blessed to have so many wonderful friends and an awesome family. Thanks for helping us make their first birthday so special.

Knotts Berry Farm

On Monday the boys and I tagged along with Evan and Macy on their trip with Grammy and Poppy to Knotts Berry Farm. They were babysitting the kids for my sister Melissa and treated them to a fun day. Gavin and Lincoln went on a few rides like the Wild West Train and Horse Drawn Stage Coach. I enjoyed riding all the rides with Evan, pretending I was a kid again. We mostly enjoyed just getting out of the house for a walk on such a beautiful day!

Mothers Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. This was my first mothers day I was able to spend with my sweet boys and it couldn't have been better. We woke up to breakfast in bed, from Dusty. Then we headed over to my Mom and Dads for some fun in the sun, swimming, and an awesome lunch prepared by Eric and Dad - yummy! Next, we were off to the Rainforest Cafe to meet Dusty's parents. It was a great day!

A Sticky Situation

Have you ever gotten yourself into a situation you couldn't get out of? Apparently this is true for one year olds as well. Yesterday, I went to get Gavin, after waking from his nap. When I opened the door this is what I found...

I watched him struggle to get our for a minute. It was hilarious! When he heard me laughing, he started giggling too!
