Beach Bums

We just can't get enough of the beach these days. Dusty loves to surf and the little ones love playing on the beach. Some of their favorite thing include: playing in a giant hole that Daddy digs, build sand castles, and run from the waves!

Happy 30th Birthday Dusty

We turned Dusty's 30th birthday into a birthday month. It was filled with tons of fun days spent with allour favorite people. We celebrated in Huntington Beach with many of his friends. We BBQ'd, sang happy birthday and ate some yummy cake. It was really windy with put a little damper on the day but we didn't let that stop us from having fun. We moved the party on into the parking lot!

Next we celebrated at our house with just our family. I made Dusty's favorite dinner parmesan chicken, artichoke, and caesar salad. The kids had fun wearing party hats and making their own cards for daddy with construction paper and crayons.

We also spent one evening at BJ's with Dusty's parents. They invited a few of Dusty's friends to join us. He got an underwater camera that he's had his eye on for some time.

We spent an afternoon at my parents house out by the pool to celebrate with my family as well.

Lastly, we headed to the Bahamas, Paradise Island, with some wonderful friends. More on that to come!

What a lucky guy!

Water Wars

We had some friends over a couple weeks ago for a BBQ. It was a very hot day!! So hot, that my husband got out the hose and kid pool to cool things off a bit. Suddenly, a water war broke out and the kids, teenagers, and Dads (who think they are still kids) had a great time getting wet!!!

Countdown

10 days till we will leave for the Bahamas!!
I plan on relaxing, swimming, relaxing, eating, relaxing, napping, and a little relaxing!! Ahhh...I can't wait!

Happy Birthday O'Great One!

We celebrated my Dads 60th birthday last week. Its started on Thursday with an all day pool party with his daughters and grand kids. We topped off the evening with a fancy candle-lit Italian dinner on the patio. My mom planned a wonderful night with a few of his friends. I made a slide show of his past 60 years. I had so much fun digging through old photos. This one is my favorite!

What a stylin' guy!

The following day we headed down to Palos Verde to the Terranea Resort. What an amazing place. It was a great resort and perfect for toddlers. The weather was beautiful. We spent the next 3 days at the pool: playing on the water slide, swimming, running through the splash pad, and digging in the sandbox. My mom rented us a 3 bedroom casita overlooking the ocean. It was a blast spending the weekend with my family. With 7 kids, there was never a dull moment. Here are some pics from our weekend away...
